All journals benefit from copy editing, whether in-house or through authors having their writing improved before submission. But not all journals employ a third-party copy editing service to quality check the language of an issue before publication. Un-noticed language anomalies sometimes creep in, and they can point to deeper problems of which journal editors should be aware.
