The Communications and Public Affairs Office at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University approached AsiaEdit in 2010 to work on its PolyU Milestones magazine.
We initially edited the magazine twice a year, striking a balance between delivering information effectively and maintaining a tone less formal than academic writing. Impressing the Office with our efforts, we were tasked with writing feature and cover articles in early 2011 and people stories later that year. In the time since, we’ve drawn together material from websites, press releases and other media, and conducted interviews with leading academics while covering everything from research centre launches to innovative technologies and career retrospectives.
