Anita has an MS degree in computer science (thesis in the field of computer architecture) from North Carolina State University, USA, and a BE degree in computer engineering from Government College of Engineering, Pune, India. She was a teaching assistant while pursuing her MS degree.

At the start of her career, she worked as a software engineer and team lead at IBM and Intel for six years. Since 2011, she has worked as a freelance editor in STEM, management, and education. She has also worked on a global climate change education project (funded by the International Science Council), facilitated teacher training workshops across four continents, developed content for public outreach programs, and created and edited communication material for corporates, global non-profits, and UN organizations.

Outside of work, Anita enjoys reading, exploring new places, hiking in nature, and learning languages. She is always on the lookout for good coffee.
