Kate completed her BSc in Chemistry with a focus in Biochemistry at Montana State University. She went on to attain a Master of Public Health from Oregon State University. She worked for several years at an environmental consulting firm providing chemistry support for soil and groundwater contaminant trend analysis and risk assessment. She has also worked in academic and industrial biochemistry laboratory settings where she purified and characterized proteins, conducted crystallization trials, and performed cell culture and antibody generation experiments. Her broad experience in academia, industry, and consulting enables her to provide proficient editing in a wide range of scientific areas, with a particular focus on chemistry and the life sciences.
