Julia holds an MSc in Biology from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, where she studied the impact of oil sands contaminants on freshwater communities. She worked in a variety of research-oriented roles in ecology, conservation, and toxicology before transitioning to academic editing in 2020.
In her free time, Julia enjoys travelling, reading, and cooking.
