Writing & Translating Tech Sheets & Press Releases for HKU Technology Transfer Centre

02 March 2022

The concept of technology transfer has recently gained in popularity among the world’s leading research universities. Such universities are building bridges between their academic communities and the business sector to develop their research ideas into tangible, marketable products and identify opportunities for collaboration.

In 2019, AsiaEdit was invited by the Technology Transfer Centre at one of the Hong Kong universities to provide professional language support in preparing promotional and reporting materials associated with knowledge transfer. We were given the delicate task of drafting, editing and translating tech sheets describing new technology, as well as press releases to be featured in their regular communications targeting the local, regional and international business sectors.

Employing expert editors in a variety of fields, we are able to ensure that all drafted tech sheets, detailing expert knowledge across a number of fields, accurately describe the featured inventions in layman’s terms.

The Centre was so impressed with our work that we’re currently undertaking the project again in 2020.
