Following his bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Canterbury, Peter has worked as a generalist and specialist editor on a wide variety of publications since 1997, including seven years at Dove Medical Press, where he edited and managed production of several thousand manuscripts in the biosciences as the publisher grew its stable from five journals to 131. Peter has also been published in The Times, New Zealand Herald and SITES. He served on the executive board of a disabled persons’ organization for seven years, including two years as the chairperson of one of its subsidiaries. Amid all that, Peter obtained two master’s degrees in Literary Theory/Poetics (1st Class) and Creative Writing from Auckland University. In late 2021, he joined the AsiaEdit team as a freelance editor, where his focus is on the social sciences, finance and management fields.

In his spare time, Peter enjoys riding his single-speed bike to find good coffee in Mexico City, swimming, reading science fiction, tearing down LEGO and wrangling his cats.
